What We're Looking For

Minimum Requirements

In order to become a Nueces County Deputy Sheriff or Corrections Officer, you must:
  1. Be a high school graduate or possess a GED.
  2. Possess a valid Texas motor vehicle operator's License.
  3. Be willing to attend the NCSD Training Academy to become certified as a Corrections Officer.

Salary & Benefits

The Starting Salary for becoming a Nueces County Cadet Corrections Officer as of October 2006 is $ 27,010.88 annually. Once certified as a Corrections officer the annual salary is $ 29,671.72. Some of the benefits include:
