Joe A. Gonzalez, Nueces County Commissioner for Precinct Two, was elected in November 2010, to a four-year term and is looking forward to working for the people of Nueces County. On January 1, 2010, Joe A. Gonzalez took his oath of office to represent the citizens of Agua Dulce, Petronila, Banquete, Bishop and the western part of Corpus Christi. Prior to taking office, he served as the Justice of the Peace for Precinct 1, Place 1 for nine years. He was instrumental in initiating and developing the Truancy Reduction Alternative Program Solutions known as TRAPS which incorporated various tools to help the poor school attendance epidemic in our community. He has been a strong advocate of education and has a history of extensive volunteerism, community involvement and public service for the community. Education (Formal)

Gonzalez is no stranger to county government and knows the concerns of his precinct and countywide.
